PV's or Photovoltaics (photo=light, voltaics=electricity) are a semiconductor-based technology used to convert light energy into direct current (dc) electricity, using no moving parts, consuming no conventional fuels, and creating no pollution.
PV is a proven technology and it is possible to generate about 120 watts of electric power from a 10 sq. ft. area of SPV panal on a sunny day. It is reliable in different scale applications. PV's require no fuel and do away with the often expensive and erratic supply of fuels. They do not cost anything to operate. The recurrent cost of operating and maintaining are small. (Occasional topping up of distilled water into the battery and cleaning the panels of dust). Benfield ATT are increasingly recieving requests to include informative links;
