Department: Technical Sales, working with Technical and Production.
Hours: 40 hr week - 08:30 -17:30, with unpaid hour break Salary: Dependant upon Qualifications and Experience + Uncapped Sales Commission
|
The ideal candidates will have experience in either of these areas, but consideration will be given to training suitably experienced/qualified candidates who have experience in a construction-based industry or are trained in a relevant discipline.
The position will involve building working relationships with local Builders, architects, developers, housing associations and private individuals throughout the UK (but mostly in South East Wales and Bristol). Travel to sites (and Sales calls) may be required.
Key tasks will include
- Offering a prompt Truss Estimating service to our clients
- Offering a high level of Customer Service and Sales Follow-ups
- Designing Trussed Rafter roofscapes
- Working with our in-house specialists to support the demand for Roof Trusses from the core business of Timber Frame
- Collaborating with the Company's Sales, Technical, Production and Project Management teams (and the Directors) to support our existing projects
- Collaborating with our in-house Sales & Marketing team to publicise and encourage sales of Trusses and other complementary products
- Liasing with our own factory, sub contractors, external professionals, hauliers, etc. to ensure project time scales are both feasible and achieved
- Using appropriate software to achieve performance norms
- You will report to the company's Management Team and Directors and you will work under the direction of Prof. Michael Benfield, who is a both a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Builder

Candidate profile
Essential:
- Ambition and good business/commercial sense
- Self starter, able to work autonomously while still being part of a team
- Knowledge of timber frame/Trusses
- Technically-minded, precise and the ability to be trained in Wolf Truss Systems CAD Software
- Computer literate
- Good verbal & written communication
- English Language and Maths skills essential

Willing and able to travel with use of own vehicle
The ability to liaise with both private and commercial customers and represent the company in a polite and professional manner and within our ISO 9001:2000 procedure
- Demonstrate a track record in Consultative Selling, preferably in the Construction sector
Desirable
- While formal qualification is not necessary, an appropriate professional qualification is highly desirable
- Construction Design/Estimating/Coordination experience
- Some CAD/Design experience is highly desirable, especially in the use of Wolf Truss Systems Design Software
- Work experience with engineers, quantity surveyors and architects
- Good presentation skills
- Smart appearance and professional manner
