The position will involve collaboration with other professional firms, developers and property owners, as well as presentations to appropriate professional bodies, throughout the UK, and may involve some travelling.
Key tasks will include -
- collaborating with the Company's technical and professional staff to identify key differences and points of potential major concern in timber framed structures.
- liaising with national mortgage lenders, insurers, trade & professional bodies and others on the valuation, structural integrity and maintenance requirements of timber frame property.
- promotion of the service to trade, professional and public sectors
- ensuring that all systems and protocols are in place and accessible internally and externally via the Company's IT systems.
- establishing a body of specialist knowledge for company and partner reference
- Work will be carried out under the direction of Dr. Michael Benfield, who is a both a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Builder

Candidate profile -
- graduate in surveying or related discipline with membership of an appropriate professional institution.
- experience in building surveys and valuation, with some knowledge of timber frame desirable
- self starter, able to work autonomously while still being part of a team
- working knowledge of CRM (Customer Relations Management) computerised systems would be beneficial
- good presentation skills desirable
