The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world's forests. It was founded in 1993 in response to public concern about deforestation and demand for a trustworthy wood-labelling scheme. There are national working groups in 28 countries including the UK.
Benfield ATT FSC-Certified Engineered Timber Structures do not Cost the Earth.

Benfield ATT FSC Timber Structures can be built using timber from most FSC-certified timbers. Over a million hectares of forest and woodland in the UK are now FSC certified - that's 38% of the total forest cover, and over 70% of commercial forestry. This includes a wide range of woodland types from large plantations to small community woods. So wherever you live, there's a good chance that there will be an FSC wood near you, and the possibility of businesses being able to use locally sourced wood is increasing.
