The Wales Quality Centre was founded in 1988 by Vincent Kane OBE with a mission to promote continuous improvement in Wales. As a member of Wales Quality Benfield ATT are associating with the European Partner Organisation for Wales with the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), whom are recognised as the leading experts in Wales on the use and application of the European Excellence Model.

The Welsh Timber Forum was formed in September 1999 by a number of individuals working in wood-based industries in Wales. They had the vision of an organisation which could work for them and represent them inside and beyond Wales.
